الملخص

تعدّ مسألة الأسرى الجزائريين في الدول الأوروبية خلال العهد العثماني من المسائل التي قلّت فيها الدراسات، حيث اتّجه الباحثون لدراسة حياة الأسرى الأوربيين في الجزائر فقط إلّا ما ندر، ويبدو عزوف بعض الباحثين عن مسألة الأسرى الجزائريين بسبب قلة المصادر التي تحدّثت عنهم، وقلة الوثائق أو الرسائل المتبادلة بين الأسرى وأهاليهم في الجزائر. لكن مع توفّر بعض المصادر التي تتحدّث عن أحد الأسرى الجزائريين المسمى علي بن يحيى الزواوي، أتت هذه الورقة لوضع دراسة حول هذه الشخصية من خلال دراسة بعض المخطوطات التي نسخها بنفسه في جزيرة مالطا بأحد الأديرة هناك، والتي حملت في طيّاتها بعض الأخبار عن حياته. . The question of Algerian captives in European countries during the Ottoman era is one of the question on which there have been few studies, as researchers tended to study the lives of European captives in Algeria only rarely, and some researchers appear to be reluctant to address the question of Algerian captives due to the lack of sources that talked about them, and the lack of documents or letters exchanged between captives and their families in Algeria. Because of the above and the availability of some sources that talk about one of the Algerian captives named Ali bin Yahya Al-Zawawi, this paper comes to develop a study about this character by studying some of the manuscripts that he copied himself on the island of Malta in one of the monasteries there, which contained some news about his life.
