لم يعد كوكب الأرض موطنا للعيش، بل غزته إرادة التحكم في البشرية عن طريق العلم والتقنية أصبح الأزمة، وتم منح الكائن الإنساني إمكانيات كبيرة للتدمير الذاتي،وأتيحت له فرصة ليبلغ أقصى درجات الفتك بنفسه، تحت مسمى التنمية، ورغم محاولة أنسنة هذه التنمية، إلا أن البعد الكمي الحسابي بقي مسيطرا على مؤشراتها الإنسانية، ضمن هذا الواقع المتأزم شكلت أفكار إدغار موران وفق البراديغم التعقيد طريق مشروع الاصطلاحي ممثل في سياسة الحضارة وفقا للفكر المركب بديلا للتنمية.
