This study aims to investigate how authentic leadership affects organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) within the context of the University of Algiers 2. The main question it addresses is whether authentic leadership dimensions have an impact on employees' engagement beyond their formal job roles. Through a quantitative analysis, the study investigates the predictive power of self-awareness, relational transparency, balanced processing, and internal moral perspective on OCB. Data was collected from 120 university employees using questionnaires assessing authentic leadership and OCB. The results reveal significant positive relationships between relational transparency and internal moral perspective with OCB. However, balanced processing exhibits a negative relationship with OCB. The relationship between self-awareness and OCB is marginally significant or non-significant. Overall, this study contributes to a better understanding of the complex dynamics of authentic leadership and its implications for organizational behavior.
