الملخص
الملخص: تعتبر الترجمة الحرفية من أقدم الطرق المنتهجة منذ البدايات الأولى للممارسة الترجمية، ولطالما اعتمد عليها النقلة كأسلم طريقة لتحويل المضامين النصية بين اللغات المختلفة، لكن الآراء تباينت في الحكم على مشروعيتها في عملية النقل نظرا إلى أنها تفقد النص رونقه وتسلبه روحه ولا سيما إذا ما تعلق الأمر بمجال الأدبيات. لأجل ذلك جاء بحثنا ليحاول رصد مختلف الأحكام التي أطلقت على هذا الإجراء منذ القديم، مركزا على رأي الباحث بيتر نيومارك في هذا المجال باعتباره أحد المناصرين الشرسين لمبدأ الحرفية، وصولا إلى إثبات مشروعيتها وتعيين حدود استعمالاتها. Abstract: Literal translation is among the most old procedures used since the beginning of translation exercising, and translators have long depend on this method as the most safe way to transfer textual contents between different languages, however point of views varied in deciding about its legitimacy in making the transfer because it lets the text loose beauty and deprives it from its soul especially when speaking about literature. This is why, our study tries to observe the different judgments made about this procedure since ancient times, focusing on Peter NEWMARK point of view in this regard as one of the most strong supporters of literal translation principle, in order to prove at the end the legitimacy of literality and set the limits of its use.
