Abstract Itis known that the understanding and acquisition of idiomatic expressions is guaranteed only through a relevant description that takes into consideration a whole series of parameters: functional, systematic, discursive and sociocultural. That being said, the Amazigh dictionary would not be truly modern and would only be of interest if it subscribed to the rules governing the description of the language in all its aspects. This contribution is intended to know the place that should be given to the expressions in question in the Amazigh lexicography. The aim is to reflect on how they are presented and to suggest some solutions to overcome several deficiencies.
