الملخص
نظرية قواعد الحالات للساني الأمريكي شارل فيلمور واحدة من النظريات التفسيرية التي انبثقت من النظرية التوليدية التحويلية لنعوم تشومسكي ،غَيْرَ أنّها تميّزت بفكرة الحالة أو الدور الدلالي الذي تؤديه الكلمة داخل التركيب، وهي فكرة ثورية في القواعد التوليدية التي طالما اتُّهمت بإهمالها المعنى في دراستها للغة. في هذا المقال سأركز على جانب تحتكم إليه نظرية قواعد الحالات عند اختيارها للكلمات في التركيب؛فهي ترى أن هناك قوانين نظمية تَحْكُم الخيارات المتعلقة بالتركيب الأساس وكذا التحويل والمفردات . فنحن قبل أن نتكلم نختار القوالب المناسبة للمعاني المختزنة في الدّماغ وأثناء كلامنا نتبع قوانين دقيقة في تركيب كلمات معينة مع كلمات أخرى تظهر في نَظْم مُعَين يُمكّن مُتَلَقِّـيه من استيعابه. فالعملية خاضعة لقوانين مضبوطة وليست اعتباطية . فما هذه القوانين وما آلية عملها ؟.
