الملخص
تتأسّس المجتمعات على مبادئ سياسيّة وشعارات اجتماعيّة كبرى، تساهم في ضمان قوتّها وصلابتها مثل الشّورى والدّيمقراطيّة. وتمثّل الحرّيّة جزءا من هذا الأساس، إذ خاض فيها كثير من المفكّرين العرب والغرب، من خلال تأصيل مفهوم الحرّيّة، ودراسة جذوره التّاريخيّة. وقد اهتمّ المفكّر عبد الله العروي (وُلد 1933م) بمصطلح الحرّيّة -من خلال تخصيص كتاب عنونه بمفهوم الحرّيّة- ودرسه، وأصّل المسائل المتعلّقة بالحقل المفاهيمي للحرّيّة. دون أن يهمل بيان العلاقة بين الحرّيّة في العالم العربي الإسلامي التّقليدي، واللّيبراليّة في العالم الغربي. Societies are founded on political principles and major social slogans that contribute to ensuring their strength and solidity, such as Shura and democracy. Freedom represents part of this foundation, as many Arab and Western thinkers have delved into it, by establishing the concept of freedom and studying its historical roots. The thinker Abdullah Al-Arawi (born 1933 AD) was interested in the term freedom - by devoting a book entitled The Concept of Freedom - and studied it, and explained the issues related to the conceptual field of freedom. Without neglecting to explain the relationship between freedom in the traditional Arab Islamic world, and liberalism in the Western world.
