Through the presented research, it took to focus on those aspects related to self-evaluation of teachers that allows them to reflect on their performance, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and promote quality teaching that aims to encourage critical reflection, continuous improvement and professional development. It identifies the different forms of self-assessment, then analyses the available approaches and tools, and finally presents the objectives, obstacles and problems related to self-assessment. The purpose of this contribution is to demonstrate how self-assessment can be taught and can be rigorously and pertinently practiced in the classroom context to contribute to the training of autonomous, critical and responsible subjects of their own learning.
