During their occupation of Algeria, the French colonial civil and military authorities carried out a criminal plan to exterminate the Algerians, and proceeded to use all possible measures available to them to suppress the Algerians without distinguishing defenseless civilians from children, women and the elderly. And in this regard, colonial France committed hundreds of mass massacres, and individual and random killings, and perhaps the most prominent of these massacres during the 20th century is the massacre of May 8, 1945, which we will try to highlight in this article.
