ملخص: حَدَّدْتُ في هذه الورقة البحثية مَفَاهِيم كل من الإِيمَانِ، الكُفْر، الفُسْق والنِفَاق، لأُبَيِّنَ الاختلاف الحَاصِل بَيْن الِفرَقِ الكَلاَمِيَةِ حول السؤال التالي: بِمَ نُسمي مَنْ يرتكب من المؤمنين كبيرة من الكبائر دون الشِرْك، ويموت من غير تَوْبَةٍ؟ وما حُكْمُهُ في الآخِرة؟ وبينت أنّ نظرة الفِرق الاسلامية للإيمان، ترتب عنها اختلاف حول اسم وحُكم مُرتكب الكبيرة، ولكن هذا الاختلاف بين الفِرق لم يقتصِر في الحكم على الأفراد بل تعداه إلى حُكَّام ذلك العصر. فكانت المشكلة الأساسية في بحثي هي ما موقف المعتزلة من هذه الآراء المختلفة للفِرق الإسلامية، وما هي حُجَجُهُم لِتَعْضِيدِ موقفهم من مُرْتَكِبِ الكبيرة؟ Abstract: In this research paper, I defined the concepts of faith, infidelity, immorality and hypocrisy, in order to show the difference between the speech sects around the following question: What do we call a believer who commits major sins without polytheism, and dies without repentance? Moreover, what is his sentence in the hereafter? Furthermore, I indicated that the Islamic sects' view of faith resulted in a conflict about the name and sentence of the perpetrator of the major sin, but this conflict between the sects was not limited to judging individuals, but extended to the rulers of that era. The main problem in my research was-what is the position of the Mu'tazilites towards these different views of the Islamic sects, and what are their arguments to support their position on the perpetrator of the great sin?
