Résumé
La métropolisation est liée à la concentration/spécialisation des activités économiques dans de grands centres urbains. Elle entraîne des changements importants et modifie les rapports entre les grandes agglomérations et leurs arrière-pays. En Algérie, la ville a été de multiples manières façonnée par des tensions politiques et socio-économiques qui font d’elle aujourd’hui et pour l’essentiel un espace de résidence. La théorie urbaine nous enseignant que la ville doit fonctionner et évoluer dans un système (réseau) cohérent capables d’encadrer le territoire dans une vision de compétition. Il s’agit d’examiner le cas des grandes villes algériennes et de réfléchir sur les conditions de sa mutation en un véritable point d’ancrage vers les autres métropoles et les pôles d’activités multiformes… Abstract Metropolitanization is linked to the concentration/specialization of economic activities in large urban centers. It brings about significant changes and modifies the relationships between the big cities and their hinterlands. In Algeria, the city has been shaped in many ways by political and socio-economic tensions that make it today and essentially a place of residence. Urban theory teaches us that the city must function and evolve in a coherent system (network) capable of framing the territory in a vision of competition. It is a question of examining the case of large Algerian cities and reflecting on the conditions of its transformation into a veritable anchor point towards other metropolises and poles of multifaceted activities...
