الملخص
يعتبر القرن السادس عشر بالنسبة للتاريخ المغاربي، قرنا محوريا إذ شهد تحولا كبيرا جدا على جميع المستويات، و إذ عرف بقرن المجابهات الحربية بين مختلف الأطراف، فهو و لا شك قرن التحولات الضخمة في الأنظمة السياسية و الاتصالات المباشرة و البعثات التي حصلت بين أطرافه عبر البحر الأبيض المتوسط، و هو أيضا قرن التحالفات الظرفية و المنافع العاجلة(1). تلك هي الحقيقة التي تشرح لنا طبيعة الأحداث و الصراعات السياسية و العسكرية بالبحر الأبيض المتوسط الغربي.كان المد الإيبيري في المغرب الأوسط عبارة عن صدمة حقيقية، وقد حاولت الأستغرافية الإيبيرية كلما سنحت الفرصة أن تركز على الأدوار التاريخية التي أدتها شبه الجزيرة في بلاد المغارب و العالم. كما اعتبر مؤرخوهم أن شبه الجزيرة الإيبيرية صلة وصل بين الحضارة الإسلامية و أوروبا، وقد أشادوا بأدوار الإيبيريين الطلائعية في الاكتشافات الجغرافية بالنسبة للعالم الجديد (1492) و رأس الرجاء الصالح(1496) الذي اختصر الطريق نحو بلاد الهند و الصين.
