الملخص
إن الجامعة هي قاطرة المجتمع وتقع على عاتقها مسؤولية تطوير المجتمع، لذا من مهامها تكوين فرد مفكر مثقف قادر على التحليل والإبداع والنقد والابتكار، وهذا من خلال وظائفها الهامة التي تقوم بها والمتمثلة في نقل المعارف من خلال التدريس وإنتاج المعرفة من خلال البحث العلمي، وتنمية المجتمع من خلال الوظيفة الثالثة لها، حيث أصبحت خدمة المجتمع من أهم الوظائف التي تطلع بها الجامعات المعاصرة والتي تعدت حدود أسوارها وخرجت إلى المجتمع وتفاعلت معه، من خلال العلاقة الجدلية القائمة بين الجامعة والمجتمع باعتبار الجامعة لا تنشأ من فراغ وإنما من حاجة المجتمع إليها، وعليه تهدف هذه الورقة البحثية إلى معرفة مفهوم الوظيفة الثالثة للجامعة، والمراحل التي مرت بها علاقة الجامعة بالمجتمع، هذا إضافة إلى معرفة أبعاد خدمة الجامعة للمجتمع ومبررات خدمة الجامعة للمجتمع والأنشطة والخدمات التي تقدمها، وصولا إلى واقع خدمة الجامعة للمجتمع في إطار الأدبيات والدراسات السابقة. الكلمات المفتاحية:الوظيفة الثالثة،الجامعة، المجتمع، خدمة المجتمع Abstract: The university is the locomotive of the community and it is the responsibility of the development of society, so it is its task to form an individual intellectual intellectual capable of analysis and creativity, criticism and innovation, this is through its important functions of transferring knowledge through teaching and producing knowledge through scientific research, and the development of society through the third function, where the service of society has become one of the most important functions that the modern universities, which exceeded the boundaries of their walls and went out to the community and interacted with him, through the dialectical relationship existing between the university and society as the university does not arise from a vacuum, but from the need of the community, the aim of this research paper is to understand the concept of the university's third function, This is in addition to knowing the dimensions of the University's service to the community and the justifications of the University's service to the community, the activities and services it provides, and the reality of the University's service to the community in the framework of literature and previoustudies.
