الملخص: شهد الوطن العربي صراعا عربيا صهيونيا على امتداد القرن العشرين وما يزال إلى يومنا، وكان للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الدور البارز والرئيسي فيه، من خلال دعمها المستمر للكيان الصهيوني ووضعها للركائز الأساسية لقيام دولة إسرائيل، وسعيها للحفاظ عليها وضمان استمراريتها وتقدمها العسكري الذي ساهم في تحقيق التفوق على العرب، وبناء عليه تحددت العلاقات العربية الأمريكية القائمة على عدم الثقة في أي مشروع تعرضه على الدول العربية، فكان موقف الدول العربية واضحا من سياسة الأحلاف الدفاعية التي عرضتها الو.م.أ لمواجهة ما أسمته بالخطر الشيوعي، وفي نفس السياق رفضت الدول العربية المشاريع الاقتصادية الأمريكية التي عرضتها في إطار سياسة ملء الفراغ بعد انسحاب القوى التقليدية فرنسا وبريطانيا من المنطقة. Abstract: The Arab world has witnessed an Arab-Zionist conflict throughout the twentieth century and continues to this day, The United States of America had a prominent and major role, through its continued support for the Zionist entity, and its primary role in the establishment of the State of Israel. The United States sought to preserve it and ensure its continuity and military progress that contributed to its superiority over the Arabs, Accordingly, Arab-American relations were based on distrust of any project submitted to Arab countries, The position of the Arab countries was clear on the policy of defense alliances presented by the United States to counter what it called the Communist threat, In the same context, the Arab countries rejected the American economic projects that they offered in the framework of the policy of filling the vacuum after the withdrawal of the traditional forces of France and Britain from the region.
