العلمانية كمنهج لقيام نهضة عربية "شبلي شميَل وفرح أنطون

الملخص
من بين المشاريع النهضوية التي ظهرت في عصر النهضة للعالم العربي مشروعين مهمين وهما الاتجاه الإصلاحي والاتجاه العلماني، ونظرا لتخبط الدول العربية والعالم الإسلامي بصورة عامة في دوامة التخلف والانحطاط ظهر اتجاه العلمانية في المشرق العربي الإسلامي. والسبب الذي أدى إلى ظهور العلمانية هو وجه الشبه الذي اسقطه ممثلو هذا الاتجاه لأسباب التخلف وهو عدم وجود فهم صحيح للدين والشريعة أين اتهم الفهم الخاطئ للدين بغلق كل باب الاجتهاد والتفكير العقلي والذي يدعوا إلى الانفتاح على الآخر، فقد سعى كل من شبليَ شميَل وفرح أنطون إلى تطبيق العلمانية على العالم العربي والإسلامي من أجل بلوغ الحداثة، والعمل على تحقيق نهضة فكرية وعلمية، وتغيير للأوضاع الاجتماعية كما فعلت أوربا سابقا. Among the renaissance projects that emerged in the Renaissance era for the Arab world were two important projects: the reformist trend and the secular trend. Given the floundering of the Arab countries and the Islamic world in general in the spiral of backwardness and decadence, the trend of secularism appeared in the Arab Islamic East. The reason that led to the emergence of secularism is the similarity that the representatives of this trend made to the causes of backwardness, which is the lack of a correct understanding of religion and Sharia. The wrong derstanding of religion was accused of closing every door to ijtihad and rational thinking, which calls for openness to the other. Both Shibli Al-Shamail and Farah Antun sought to Applying secularism to the Arab and Islamic world in order to achieve modernity, work to achieve an intellectual and scientific renaissance, and change social conditions as Europe did previously.
