Globally, chemical pollution has become a serious threat to sustainable development. Humanity and ecosystems alike suffer from the harmful effects of chemicals through either long-term exposure to low or sub-lethal concentrations of certain chemicals/mixtures of chemicals. This paper discusses the problems associated with unplanned impacts on humans and their food or resources and their lives that are caused by the release of natural occurring and man-made chemicals into the environment through human activities, it talks also about administrative control authorities approved by the Algerian legislator to reduce chemical pollution.
