The present study aims to discuss the impact of the teacher’s teaching style on the communication process in the classroom by asking the following question: Does teaching style impact the communication process in the classroom? What is the nature of this impact (positive or negative)? In order to answer these questions, the researcher has conducted a field study that consists of choosing a sample of classrooms using Flanders Interaction Analysis Categories (F.I.A.C.) to analyse the verbal interaction between the teacher and the learners. After exposing and analysing the results, the study concluded that: - The teaching style impacts the verbal communication in classroom which means that the indirect teaching style stimulates verbal communication and gives flexibilitywhich helps create an atmosphere that motivates learners to activate their abilities and capacities. - Direct teaching style limits the verbal communication by imposing the teacher’s authority and restrictions on teaching/learning process which leads to centralize on أثر الأسلوب التعليمي للمعلم على عملية التواصل في القسم الد ا رسي -مجلة الباحث- the teacher who ends up giving priority to the adopted teaching approaches rather than taking into consideration the teacher’s personal aspects.
