الملخص
تتناول هذه الصفحات مشاهدات وانطباعات طبيب فرنسي، عالم نبات المسمى رينييه لويش ديسفونتين(R.L.Desfontaines) عن الوسط والغرب الجزائري في سنة 1785، حيث قام بزيارته في إطار بعثة علمية من طرف لويس السادس عشر (XVI) لجمع عينات من النباتات والحيوانات النادرة في المنطقة لفائدة القصر الملكي. غلب عليها الطابع العلمي والجغرافي، وتخللتها بعض الآراء في الجوانب السياسية، الاجتماعية، الاقتصادية والثقافية. يجد فيها القارئ مميزات هذه المنطقة في منتصف العشرية الثامنة من القرن 18م، خصوصا في الجانب الطبوغرافي، التضاريسي، الغطاء النباتي والشبكة المائية، بمنظار وصفي دقيق، لأن كاتبها كان شاهد عيان لكثير مما دوّنه، على الرغم من أنه يخطئ في كتابة أسماء الأماكن والمدن والقرى ، إلا أنه تبين بأنه مسجل بارع لما دوّن وملاحظ دقيق لما وصف. من هذا المنطلق فمن يكون رينييه لويش ديسفونتين؟ ما هي مشاهداته وانطباعاته عن الوسط و الغرب الجزائري في الفترة التي قام بزيارتها؟ هل أخباره ومعارفه التي يقدمها صحيحة أم يشوبها البهتان والزيف؟ إلى أي مدى نجحت مهمته العلمية من خلال هذه الزيارة. These pages deal with the observations and impressions of a French doctor, a botanist named R.L.Desfontaines, about the Algerian center and west in 1785, when he visited it as part of a scientific expedition by Louis XVI (XVI) to collect samples of rare plants and animals in the region for the benefit of Royal palace. It was dominated by the scientific and geographical nature, and was interspersed with some .opinions on the political, social, economic and cultural aspects.
