الملخص: يتناول هذا المقال كيف احتلت مدن الجزائر بكل أبعادها ومقوماتها حيزا واسعا في كتابات أندريه جيد امتد من نهاية القرن التاسع عشر حتى منتصف القرن العشرين، ومن الشرق إلى الغرب، ومن الشمال إلى الجنوب، ولا شك أن القارئ يجد نفسه أمام صور متباينة تدعو إلى التأمل، فالكاتب كان يولي اهتماما بالغا وعنابة فائقة لكل ما يشعر به في هذه المدن، وكل ما يقع عليه بصره، وكل ما يتصوره خياله... وصولا إلى صور ظل الأدب العالمي يتغنى بها عبر الزمن والتاريخ. لا شك في أن مدينة بسكرة التي سلطنا عليها الضوء في مناسبات عدة، هي المدينة التي استحوذت على شعور الكاتب وكيانه كما كانت المحرك الأساسي لانطلاقاته واندفاعاته وابداعاته... لكن مدينة الجزائر أيضا كان لها نصيب من اهتماماته وتحدث عنها في مناسبات مختلفة...فتارة يحن إلى الذهاب إليها وأخرى يريد الهروب منها بأسرع وقت ممكن لأن نداء بسكرة يطارده باستمرار. كلمات مفتاحية : مدن جزائرية ، عيون غربية، أندريه جيد Summary: This article deals with how the cities of Algeria, with all its dimensions and components, occupied a wide space in the writings of Andre Gide, which extended from the end of the nineteenth century until the middle of the twentieth century, from east to west, and from north to south. The writer paid great attention and care to everything he felt in these cities, everything he saw, and everything his imagination imagined... down to the shadow images of world literature that he glorified through time and history. There is no doubt that the city of Biskra, which we have highlighted on several occasions, is the city that captured the writer's feeling and his being, as it was the main engine for his breakthroughs, impulses and creations... But the city of Algeria also had a share of his interests and he talked about it on different occasions... at times He longs to go to her, and another he wants to escape from as soon as possible, because the call of Biskra haunts him constantly.
