The subject of technology integration in EFL classrooms has long been a focus point of the concerned literature. However, often technology is reduced to merely tools to be used. This paper tries to look at the theoretical foundation that vindicates the utilization of technology in language classrooms. The research makes use of the mix-method approach relying heavily on an experiment to determine the extent to which the implantation of instructional design principles in EFL classrooms is beneficial. The results indicate that the instructional design principles keep the learning process-oriented around technology rendering the latter an integral part of the classroom. Consequently, this study recommends that further research has to be carried out about the adaptation of instructional design theories.
