الملخص
يعتبر ابن العنابي (1775 – 1850م) من أهم الشخصيات التي عرفتها الجزائر خلال الفترة الحديثة حيث كان عالم عصره، تثقف بثقافة عصره كما اطلع على ما يجري من تغيرات في ميدان العلوم والمعارف التي عرفتها أوروبا في تلك الفترة، هذا ما جعله يتخذ موقف واضح ومتزن من التراث والحداثة بين الدعوة إلى التمسك بالتراث بشرط تنقيته من الشوائب والمفاهيم الخاطئة التي أُلصقت به، وبين الدعوة للأخذ والاقتباس من منجزات الحضارة الأوروبية في الشؤون العسكرية والصناعية والتقنية، وهذا ما جعله من العلماء المصلحين الأوائل في العالم الإسلامي الذين تطرقوا لهذه القضية في الفترة الحديثة . During the modern period, Ibn al-Annabi(1775-1850) was considered as a scholar of his era, and one of the most important figures that Algeria knew. Ibn al-Annabi was educated، and was aware of all the changes taking place in the field of science and knowledge that Europe witnessed during that period. All this education and knowledge made him the holder of a firm position on heritage and modernity among people, as he called for adhering to heritage on the condition that it stay away from everything that might distort it. He also called for the necessity of taking and quoting from the achievements of European civilization in military, industrial and technical affairs, and this is what made him one of the reformed scholars. The first in the Islamic world who addressed this issue in the modern period .
