The transformative generative theory of the American Noam Chomsky has attracted the attention of scholars outside the fields of linguistic philosophy and theoretical linguistic studies, as it contributed to the emergence of new scientific linguistic theories from a side that had its contribution to language education, as it began from its point of view in the analysis of grammatical, phonological and lexical phenomena, using Afforestation principle. This article comes to show the contributions of Chomsky to the development of competencies in providing language to its learner, or what the transformative generative theory offers in the field of applied linguistics and language teaching.
