Abstract
Now that the allusion to the former authentic literary reservoirs is pivotal, it is vital to get acquainted with the mainstay of the local color tradition in American literature. Within this paper, the eminent short fiction “The Luck of Roaring Camp » by the celebrated American literary figure Francis Brett Harte is going to be put under scrutiny. In other words, it is aiming at drawing attention to the regional or local color essence and its influence on humankind that establishes literary preeminence and world fame to this short story, “The Luck of Roaring Camp », and its endowed author Bret Harte. The exquisite way of digging into local color permitted him to set off a whole regional journey and display a cultural anthropology.
