الملخص

يدرس هذا المقال مفهوم الترجمة الذاتية ومميزاتها في سياق نظريات الترجمة وممارستها، كما يميز بين أصناف الترجمة الذاتية، بالإضافة إلى الأسباب الأساسية التي تجعل الكتّاب يترجمون أعمالهم بأنفسهم. ثم يتطرق إلى طريقة المترجمين الذاتيين في ترجمة أعمالهم وطبيعة الترجمة الذاتية بين النقل وإعادة الكتابة، وصولا إلى خيارات المترجمين الذاتيين. فمن ناحية، تعد الترجمة الذاتية ظاهرة نادرة إلى حد ما، وتمثل من ناحية أخرى، ترجمة "مثالية" لأن الكاتب يستطيع إدخال تغييرات جوهرية في ترجمته، الأمر الذي لا يعدو ترجمة، بل إعادة كتابة نص جديد. This article examines the concept and characteristics of self-translation in the context of translation theories and practice, and distinguishes between types of self-translation, as well as the basic reasons which make the writers translate their works by themselves. Then it deals with the way used by self-translators and the nature of self-translation as translation or rewriting, and the choices of self-translators. Self-translation is a rare phenomenon and a "perfect" translation because the writer can introduce fundamental changes in his translation, by rewriting of a new text.
