Dynamics Contact Between Two Deformable Elastic Bodies

Abstract

The flexibility method has been applied successfully to the contact problems modeling with friction between two deformable elastic bodies for the static cases. This article presents the extension of this method to dynamic problems. The main objective of the suggested work is to develop an algorithm based on the non-smooth contact dynamic method to study the phenomenon and dynamic friction contact between two deformable elastic bodies and the use of the flexibility method. For friction, Coulomb's law is considered. The results obtained are encouraging and will undoubtedly pave the way for other aspects and areas of research in this area.
