الملخص
شكلت مواضيع الحرب والسلام محور آخر من محاور فلسفة "راسل" السياسية، ويعتبر الحرب هي صراع بين مجموعتين تحاول كل فيها أن تقضي على أكبر عدد من المجموعة الأخرى أو إصابتها بالعجز- بقصد تحقيق هدف معين ترغب في تحقيق وعادة ما يكون هذا الهدف هو القوة أو الثروة ، وأن هناك علاقة وطيدة الصلة بين العلم والحرب وذلك من خلال بدايتها الأولى، والسلام عند (راسل) لن يتأتى إلا مع الحكومة العالمية التي ستملك كل القوات المسلحة وستبدأ بنشر العلم والمعرفة والرفاهية في العالم بالتساوي، ثم تقوم على خفض معدلات الزيادات السكانية مما يحفظ الغذاء والتربة في العالم.
