Teaching Common Core English In Esp Classes: A Way To Promote Translation As A Learning Tool

Abstract

Globalisation is a steady on-going systematic process driven by Anglo-American strategies. Accordingly, the English language has become the most taught foreign language all over the world. Algeria is well aware of the importance of Englishdominated communication in development. Therefore, English language teaching has been adopted in the Algerian educational programmes. At the university level the teaching of the language is carried out in different fields (Biology, Engineering, Exact Sciences, Economics…) to achieve specific purposes of the learners. The major aim is to make the Algerian students able to communicate effectively in international networking.
