Abstract: This humble study seeks to shed light on the symbolic significance of water and discover its deeper philosophical dimensions ,which are the basis for Ibrahim el kouni biography of one character in this excellent novel waw ossoghra the novelist has counted a lot on the heritage of old nations dealing with water imagination .moreover, the writer has transcended this heritage to build an imagination directly derived from this own local environment (twareg) from which he perfectly depicted a detailed presentation of the birth of new society. this latter Is built upon the ruins of what Is called the tribal digger character who Deadly cherished water .this digger considers water as the primary means of salvation and the unigne tool of purification that carld radically change the harsh nomadic life people inhabiting the desert. .
