Résumé

Many countries use GDP growth as their main indicator of development and economic prosperity. However, some of these countries have had relatively high GDPs, yet they do not guarantee the majority of their populations a decent standard of living that provides medical coverage and a decent level of education. This requires the design of new directions that now make GDP a means to put development at the service of man and no longer an objective to achieve. This is the object of human development
