This paper sheds light on the sociolinguistic consequence of globalization. The emergence of English as a global language has attracted hot debates. In fact, English is no longer the property of its native speakers as it is adapted to meet the local communicative needs of its users worldwide i.e English has been after being globalised. This became clear after the emergence of world English’s that are neither purely global nor purely local varieties the term glocal is used to refer such a situation..
