The teaching / learning process of foreign languages is not limited to the mere acquisition of a communication tool. In addition to linguistic and grammatical skills, the teacher is also required to integrate into his or her lessons concepts and activities that enable the learner to access the culture of the target language. His role is thus to familiarize him with a specific symbolic universe, while sensitizing him to otherness in intercultural communication. In this article, we propose to explore the relationship between language and culture in order to develop a reflection on the cultural and intercultural dimension in the teaching of FLE at the university.
