Auteurs : Kara şeref .

Résumé

In this study, we attempted to analyse the discoursal and visual message of the album named "Tintin at Congo " which is a piece written under the typecasting of Tintin by Belgian Hergé who is a cartoon and film maker for children and youngsters. For this purpose, the use of language by people in different contexts, their behaviours, clothes and the equipments they use were examined in terms of their presentations in picture. The findings show that African images were mostly presented in a subjective manner: maybe in an ironic style with a little pejorative view. On the other hand, we can easily say that white European and virtuous hero typecasting of Tintin albums —translated more than 55 languages- is a didactic and decisive sample of the war against the corrupted values of earth for children and youngsters.
