الملخص
إنَّ هدف علم اللاهوت لا يتوقف عند تعريف المعتقدات المسيحيَّة، بل يتجاوز ذلك ليفضي إلى شرحها وتعليلها، ومعنى شرحها الإتيان بمعنًى مترابطٍ لهذه المعتقدات، والتعليل هو إعطاء الأدلة التي تثبت أنَّها معتقدات حقَّة ... ؛ لان كلمة اللاهوت محاولة تحديد الرؤية الإلهية لصفة ، أو لبيئة معينة ؛ لأنَّ علم دراسة الإلهيات دراسة منطقيَّة. وقد اعتمد علماء اللاهوت المسيحيّون على التحليل العقليّ لفهم المسيحيَّة بشكل أوضح . وينقسم علم اللاهوت إلى فروع كثيرة، علم اللاهوت العقائديَّ، و علم اللاهوت الأدبيّ، و علم اللاهوت التاريخيّ، علم اللاهوت و علم اللاهوت الفلسفيّ، علم اللاهوت والطبيعيّ وغيرها.
