Quality teaching in higher education has been the focus of many researchers around the world since the middle of the twentieth century. Most of researchers agree that quality teaching matters in terms of students ‘achievement. Teachers do not come to the classroom as finished product; most of them during their career try to improve and develop over time and become better. A teacher’s most significant function is contributing to and enhancing the learning and achievement of the students. In this article, we will focus on the various views towards enhancing quality teaching of English-speaking civilization in higher education. Hence, the teacher in this field has to be featured by certain personal and professional features that enable him to make the courses interesting, valuable, and attractive, enjoyable.
