الغايات السياسية والاستعمارية للدراسات الاستشراقية، قراءة في موقف إدوارد سعيد The Political And Colonial Goals Of Orientalist Studies: A Reading Of Edward Said's Position

الملخص
وإن كان ظاهر الدراسات الاستشراقية هو الاطلاع على حقيقة الشرق ودراسة علومه وآدابه ولغاته، واستقراء تاريخ الشرق بجوانبه المختلفة، إلا أن دراسات الاستشراق الجديد حملت في طياتها غايات ومقاصد لم يكن الخطاب الاستشراقي ليعلن عنها في صراحة، غير أنها ورغم ذلك كانت غاية الغايات لمثل هذه الدراسات، حتى أن عملية استقراء تاريخ الشرق والاحاطة بعلومه وثقافته كانت خادمة لهذه الغاية، وهو ما جعل الاستشراق يخرج من كونه علما إلى كونه آلية للسيطرة وفرض الهيمنة، فأصبح بذلك وسيلة لتبرير الاستعمار السياسي ومنحه الشرعية، من خلال خطاب مشبع بالكراهية والامبريالية. هذا التوجه العنصري للاستشراق كان محور اهتمام الأديب والناقد إدوارد سعيد، الذي حمل على عاتقه مهمة تفكيك الخطاب الاستشراقي والكشف عن غاياته الاستعمارية وفضح الأغراض الحقيقية للمستشرقين الداعمين للاستعمار، وهو ما عملنا من خلال هذه الدراسة بمنهجها التحليلي على تسليط الضوء عليه محاولين الوقوف على الموقف النقدي الذي تبناه سعيد في تحليله لغايات الاستشراق ومقاصده السياسية والاستعمارية، وبيان العلاقة بين المعرفة والسلطة. While the apparent aim of Orientalist studies is to gain knowledge of the East, study its sciences, arts, and languages, and explore its history, new Orientalism had undisclosed objectives. These studies ultimately aimed at control and domination, making the exploration of Eastern history and culture subservient to these goals. Consequently, Orientalism evolved from a science into a mechanism for justifying and legitimizing political colonialism through a discourse filled with hatred and imperialism. This racist tendency was the focus of the attention of Edward Said, who took the task of dismantling Orientalist discourse, exposing its colonial goals, and unmasking the true purposes of the colonialist-supporting Orientalists. This is what we have worked on in this study, using an analytical approach to shed light on Said’s critical position that and his analysis of the goals of Orientalism and its political and colonial objectives, and to clarify the relationship between knowledge and power.
