Abstract

Culture and sport are of great importance in relations between states, much more than is usually thought. In fact, perhaps people understand and appreciate its importance more than politicians. These are the areas of relations that most affect people, broadening their knowledge of the world and bringing them closer together, even those from completely different cultures and civilizations. This system of relations could even be called "people-to-people or everyday diplomacy", which makes a major contribution to understanding between peoples and to reducing prejudices and stereotypes. Of course, for it to work in a balanced and effective way, it is essential that states organize and encourage. Here, we portray the sport and cultural relations between Hungary and the Arab World, with special focus on the Algerian-Hungarian, and Egyptian-Hungarian fruitful cooperation.
