Résumé: Pourquoi les femmes migrent autant que les hommes, indépendamment d’eux et même clandestinement ? Cette question qui préoccupe et anime la réflexion sur le phénomène migratoire a poussé des chercheur(e)s (les féministes surtout) à opter pour l’approche genre pour rendre visible la femme-migrante en tant que sujet actant. Cependant, ce combat « pour la visibilité/contre l’invisibilité » est contré par la mondialisation et ses mécanismes de fonctionnement. La mondialisation restaure l’invisibilité en la poussant à une hyper-visibilité. Nous essayons de rendre compte d’une approche qui a permis et permettra encore de voir le phénomène dans sa totalité : l’image en complet, en adoptant le couple « émigration/immigration » théorisé par Abdelmalek Sayad. Cela permettra encore une fois d’aller au-delà d’une vision unilatérale : celle de l’immigration dans des pays d’accueil, alors que cet accueil n’y est plus et la femme-migrante n’existe pas entant qu’actrice sociale. Abstract: Why do women migrate as much as men, independently of them and even clandestinely? This question, which concerns and drives reflection on the migratory phenomenon, has pushed researchers (especially feminists) to opt for the gender approach to make the migrant woman visible as an active subject. However, this fight “for visibility/against invisibility” is countered by globalization and its operating mechanisms. Globalization restores invisibility by pushing it to hyper-visibility. We try to take into account an approach which has allowed and will still allow us to see the phenomenon in its entirety: the complete picture, by adopting the “emigration/immigration” couple theorized by Abdelmalek Sayad. This will once again make it possible to go beyond an unilateral vision: that of immigration in host countries, when this welcome is no longer there, and the migrant woman does not exist as such real social actress.
