The Impact Of Wage Mass Changes On The Inflation Rate In Algeria During The Period 1989-2023. A Standard Study Using The Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (nardl) Model

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of wage growth on the inflation rate in Algeria during the period 1989-2023. This was done through a standard regression analysis using the Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NARDL) methodology, applied to annual time series data for both the inflation rate and wage growth. The study found evidence of a long-term equilibrium relationship between wage growth and the inflation rate, indicating that inflation in Algeria is influenced in both the short and long term by changes in wages. Since this relationship is both significant and negative, inflation in Algeria tends to rise during periods of increasing wages for employees. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة مدى تأثير كتلة الاجور على معدل التضخم في الجزائر خلال الفترة 1989-2023 وذلك من خلال دراسة قياسية استخدمنا فيها منهجية الانحدار الذاتي للابطاء الموزع غير الخطي NARDL، طبقت على سلاسل زمنية سنوية لكل من معدل التضخم وكتلة الاجور. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة توازنية طويلة الأجل بين كتلة الاجور ومعدل التضخم ، وهو ما يعني بأن معدل التضخم في الجزائر يتأثر في المدى البعيد و القريب بالتغيرات التي تطرأ على الاجور ، وبمأن أن هذه العلاقة طردية ومعنوية فإ معدل التضخم يرتفع في الجزائر في الفترات التي ترتفع فيها الاجور عندما تطرا زيادة في اجور الموظفين.
