Résumé
Code-switching, which refers to the simultaneous use of two or more languages during a conversation, is not a recent linguistic practice. It has sparked the interest of numerous researchers in various fields such as sociolinguistics. This phenomenon is particularly widespread in the language of Maghrebians in general, and more specifically among Algerians and Tunisians. We assert that code-switching encompasses brachylogical dimensions such as brevity and conversational nature. That is why our work specifically focuses on what we call "polysemic code-switching," which seems to be linked to the "conversational" concept in relation to the new brachylogy. Our corpus consists of a set of terms used in the everyday language of Algerians and Tunisians.
