Authors : Chadli Zibar . Youcefi Alaeddine .

Abstract

The penal policy of the Algerian legislator plays an important role in protecting individuals against any prejudice to their safety, health, or property. In addition to the provisions of the penal code, legislators have special laws that achieve the same purpose, the most important of which is the Consumer Protection Law. This is to protect the consumer as the weak party in the relationship with producers. . This requires the existence of deterrent rules that prevent this party’s interest in any way compromised. Accordingly, through this study, we will shed light on the role of legal mechanisms in protecting the consumer by clarifying the most important obligations that the legislator imposes on the product, whether in terms of media, commitment to conformity, or commitment to guarantee and the penalties established in case of violation of them. In their study, the two researchers relied on directing a questionnaire to customers of the National Insurance Company SAA, to find out the extent to which this company adopts the concepts of quality in providing its insurance services to its customers, as well as to identify the impact of this on their behavior towards the company.
