تطور تنمية المجموعات المكتبية: مدخل مفاهيمي

الملخص
تعد مجموعات المكتبة وتنميتها من أهم عناصر وأنشطة المكتبة التي لا يمكن أن يستغنى عنها أي نشاط مكتبي. تهدف هذه الدراسة للتعريف بتطور مفاهيم تنمية المجموعات، أهميتها والعوامل التي تحكم بناءها، مع إبراز خطوات تنمية المجموعات في المكتبة التي تعتبر خطوات متتابعة في حلقة دائرية تتكرر كلما انتهت بدءاً بدراسة مجتمع المستفيدين، وضع سياسة تنمية المجموعات، اختيار المجموعات، التزويد، تنقية المجموعات وصولاً إلى تقويم المجموعات. كما تطرقت الدراسة إلى تأثر تنمية المجموعات المكتبية بالتطورات التقنية والتغييرات التي طرأت عليها في البيئة الرقمية. Library collections and their development are among the most important elements and activities of the library that no library activity can do without. This study aims to define the development of the concepts of collection development, its importance and the factors governing its construction, with high lighting the steps of collection development in the library, which are considered sequential steps in a circular loop that is repeated whenever it ends, starting with the study of the beneficiary community, setting a collection development policy, selecting collections, providing, purifying the collections and ending with To evaluate the collections. The study also touched on the impact of the development of library collections on technical developments and the changes that occurred in the digital environment, as electronic resources have become increasingly important for libraries of all types and sizes.
