This study aimed to investigate the effect of exchange traded derivatives on economic growth using panel data set of three regions in the world (North America, Europe, Asia and Pacific) over the period (1993-2022). The study used GDP growth as dependent variable. Exchange traded derivatives and inflation as independent variables. The study used multiple linear regression model to examine the effect of independent variable on dependent variable. Fixed effect model was the appropriate model for the study data. Empirical findings indicated that inflation has significant negative effect on economic growth for the study sample and period. While the effect of exchange traded derivatives on economic growth was insignificant.
