The Legal Status Of The Audiovisual Regulatory Authority In Algeria

Abstract
The audiovisual media sector has undergone major changes in Algeria, especially after the economic reforms, which explains the content of the laws devoted to its organization, whose the organic Law No. 12-05, which included several provisions, in particular the creation of bodies specializing in the regulation of audiovisual activity. This requires a search for the legal status of this regulatory authority, especially since the audiovisual activity is a sensitive area on the one hand, and on the other hand it is a sector linked to exercise of one of basic freedoms guaranteed constitutionally, it is about the freedom of communication.
