الملخص: يتوقف هذا البحث عند اختلاف مؤرخي الأدب الجزائري حول موضوع نشأة القصة القصيرة، فهو اختلاف شديد وبارز بين عمر بن قينة –من جهة- الذي يؤرخ للقصة القصيرة ويعتقد أن جذورها الأولى تعود إلى سنة 1908، ويسلط الضوء على المقامة التي يعتبرها قصة قصيرة فهو لا يركز على الجانب الشكلي، إنما يعطي أهمية بالغة للهدف العام وعمق التحليل، ومن جهة أخرى بقية المؤرخين وعلى رأسهم الديسي، الذي يرى أن المقامة ليست قصة قصيرة. Abstract: This research stops at the disagreement of historians of Algerian literature on the issue of the origin of the short story, as it is a strong and prominent difference between Omar Ibn Qina - on the one hand - who dates the short story and believes that its first roots go back to the year 1908, and sheds light on the Maqama which he considers a short story. He does not focus on the formal aspect, but rather gives great importance to the general goal and depth of analysis.
