Dates, figs, olive oil, honey, cheese…, Algeria is very rich in local "terroir" products. Indeed, its cultural diversity and biodiversity make it real reservoir of terroir products. Algerian terroir products do not benefit from any protection and cannot therefore be distinguished from other products, none of these products allows the economy to derive added value both on the local and international market. This paper aims to analyze the valuation of the Algerian terroir products, which can then create a favorable climate, in particular through the creation of a legal labeling framework, and state support through several programs.
