This study investigates the impact of using the decision support system (DSS) on the quality of decision-making. This is done by specifically addressing the effect of the following variables (effectiveness, efficiency, perceived effort, perceived ease of use, and usefulness) on the quality of decision-making. 500 self-questionnaires were distributed in Jordanian banks. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software as well as other statistical methods such as regression analysis and t-test which were used to test the study’s hypotheses. Finally, the study findings reveal that the use of decision support systems, which are effective, easy to use and useful with minimum effort, help in making decisions with high quality. On the other hand, the study finds that there is no effect of an efficient DSS on decision-making; this later can be justified by the high predetermined costs of this kind of systems.
