This study aims to update the archeological data published by Laporte (J.P), in his articles: « Fermes, Huileries et pressoirs de Grande Kabylie. Pressoirs taillés dans le roc de Kabylie et d’ ailleurs » through an inventory of oil mills and cut presses on the rock to the south-west of Iomnium, the territory of the ancient city. Prospection has revealed to us more than 45 sites withan abundance of presses and rock installations proving that the hinterland of Iomnium had both an important and active rural population, to whom farming, industry and mastered craftsmanship were important economic levers.
