الملخص
تناول موضوع البحث التحصينات الدفاعية التي عرفتها منطقة الغرب بموريطانيا الطنجية، خلال الفترة المبكرة من الامبراطورية الرومانية (40م-285م)،وقد ركزنا على المعسكرات الرومانية والدور الكبير الذي لعبته في الدفاع عن مراكز النفوذ الروماني بهذه المنطقة، معتمدين في هذه الدراسة على الجانب الأثري والتاريخي لكل معسكر، محاولين استخلاص أهم المميزات التي امتازت بها هذه التحصينات الدفاعية موضوع الدراسة في منطقة الغرب. وأبرزنا مواقعها ومختلف خصائصها المعمارية،ومرافقها الداخلية وتصاميمها، والوحدات العسكرية التي استقرت بها. Abstract: This present work dealt with the defensive fortifications known in the Gharb region of the Mauritania Tingitana, during the early period of the Roman Empire (40 AD-285 AD). The study concentrated also on the Roman camps and the important role they played in defending the Roman strongholds in this area. By relying on the archaeological and historical aspect of each military camp, at the same time, trying, thereby, to consider the most important features that characterized the defensive fortifications of the Gharb region in question. We shed light on its various architectural characteristics, and about its locations, besides to its internal facilities and designs, and the military units that settled out there.
