blood doping has been defined as the misuse of substances or certain techniques to obtimize oxygen delivery to muscles with the aim to increase performance in sports activities, There are 2 types of blood transfusions: either from a matching donor (heterologous transfusion) or reinfusion of the subject's own blood (autologous transfusion), There are a list of a big numbers of life threatening side effects occurred as a result of blood doping like increases in blood viscosity, myocardial infarction, stroke, infections, Hepatitis etc. the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has launched the Athlete Biological Passport where indirect markers for all types of blood doping are evaluated on an individual level, We propose that WADA strengthens the quality and capacities of the National Anti-Doping Agencies and that they work more efficiently with the international sports federations in an attempt to limit blood doping.
