Abstract: The principle of the relativity of the contract requires that the effects of the contract are not left to the non-contracting parties, and therefore a third party should not benefit or be harmed from a contractual relationship that he is foreign to, Except in some cases specified by law and approved by the doctrine and jurisprudence, as is the case for the status of the consignee’s in the contract of international carriage of goods, when commercial practice in international sales necessitates the intervention of a third person to complete the transport process. The consignee (the buyer), although he did not participate in the conclusion of the maritime transport contract between the shipper (the seller) and the carrier, but his effects will extend to him under the bill of lading in light of the implementation of this type of three-party economic operations in departure from the general origin.
